“We got a BOB!”

“Want to check out my BOB?”

“My husband is in love with his BOB” are just a few of the things that I have heard in my office recently.
Not knowing what a BOB was, I learned to nod and smile and say something like “that’s so great, you must be so proud.”

Then, few months ago, Josh and I happened into a store and to my delight, I was introduced to BOB. It was love at first sight. BOB was not only attractive, but well-proportioned and sported a shapely frame. I knew in an instant that BOB would someday be mine. Now, I just needed to persuade my wife that I needed a new jog stroller.

BOB was born in San Luis Obispo in 1994. Seeking a high performance, high quality and great looking jog stroller for their kids, a group of dads decided to create BOB, the world’s first Sport Utility Stroller. Built with a lightweight and sturdy frame and cushioned with an adjustable suspension, BOB is perfect for running on trails, the bike path or just taking a stroll through the neighborhood.

Since BOB joined the Brennan family, he’s been a busy buddy. On my running mornings, if Josh is awake, I will strap him in and head out to the bike path for a run. Josh enjoys the comfortable ride, while daddy gets some exercise. The bonus is that my wife gets some well-deserved alone time to sleep in, take a shower or enjoy a cup of coffee. Later in the morning, it is not unusual for Yael and Josh to head right back out for a walk. After work and on the weekends, we enjoy taking long family walks. Our versatile new jogger enables us to stay active, while enjoying quality family time.

On a recent morning, Josh and I were greeted by a dog roaming off of his leash. Not wanting to have a face to snout confrontation between Josh and Fido, I easily maneuvered BOB up a steep dirt embankment (without breaking my stride) and we thankfully avoided what could have been a canine catastrophe.

I love the fact that this jogger is made by a local company and was created by dads for dads (and moms, too). We enjoy the way BOB glides, the canopy that provides excellent shade, the quick release wheels and the ease with which it folds up. It is obvious that this is a well-designed jogger, especially for active parents living a Southern California lifestyle. It is not unusual to be approached by other young families, asking us how we like our jogger. Now that we have one, it seems like everyone is walking around town, running along the beach or competing in a 5k with their BOB.
