Yarbrough in critical condition |
 Carter Yarbrough, 35, longtime contributor to the Voice, is in critical condition in the intensive care unit of Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital, after being found unconscious at the foot of a stairway at 1933 Cliff Dr. Yarbrough, who suffered severe head injuries, has undergone several surgeries and been heavily sedated for most of the time since the incident. He is slowly showing some progress toward a recovery. According to the Santa Barbara City Police Dept., it was unclear how Yarbrough fell or how long he had been at the site when a maintenance worker found him about 7 a.m. A department spokesperson also said there were no apparent signs of foul play. Yarbrough, a Goleta resident for several years, is a City College student, talented musician, and a well-liked member of the Voice family of staffers. |
