Raytheon gets contract for radar receivers

Raytheon Co. has won a $24.4million to supply the Royal Australian Air Force a digital radar warning receiver produced at the company’s Goleta facility.

The contract, representing the first international sale of the ALR-67(V)3 for the Super Hornet, originated through the U.S. Navy. It calls for Raytheon to supply 55 units plus spares.

The digital radar warning receiver is the ALR-67(V)3 for F/A-18F Super Hornets.

Deliveries under the contract will begin in October 2009 and are expected to be complete by September 2010.
